  • Improve British racing’s financial structure
    To significantly improve the financial structure of British racing, thereby enhancing the quality of our sport and allowing British-trained horses to compete more effectively on the international stage
     
  • Improve recovery of keep
    To obtain a much-improved recovery of keep and training costs from net prize-money.
     
  • Reduce entry fees
    To work towards reducing entry fees as a percentage of of total prize-money.
     
  • Increase ROA membership
    To encourage all registered owners to become members of the ROA.
     
  • Appearance Money
    To support and expand an appearance money scheme.
     
  • Sponsorship
    To help owners obtain sponsorship so they are able to register for VAT and recover VAT on purchase and training costs
     
  • Improve owners’ raceday experiences
    To pursue the aims of the Gold Standard Awards, thereby improving facilities for owners, horses and stable staff at racecourses
     
  • Owners’ Premium Scheme
    To re-introduce an Owners’ Premium Scheme when funding permits, thereby incentivising the purchase of British-bred horses
     
  • Horsemen’s GroupHorsemens Group thumbnail
    To work with the Horsemen’s Group to maximise prize-money for the mutual benefit of owners, trainers, breeders, jockeys and stable staff.
     
  • Thoroughbred welfare
    To support a humane and compassionate approach to the treatment of Thoroughbred racehorses and encourage positive developments in equine veterinary science.
