There is a joint obligation upon both Owner and Trainer to ensure that a Training Agreement is in place. You can find an agreement which is recommended by the ROA and NTF here which complies with Schedule 4 of Manual C in the Rules of Racing. You may use an alternative version, as long as it contains the minimum requirements outlined in the Rules.
Click here for a 'points to consider' when setting up a lease agreement, but please make sure you check your specific agreement with a solicitor before signing. Further information on leasing can also be found in the owners' resource area of the website along with a list of solicitors who specialise in racing related matters.
