ROA members can now enjoy an exciting new benefit with the arrival of Race Horse Trader, a website that allows you to buy and sell thoroughbred horses on line. And there’s a free six-month trial period from the date of the launch for all ROA members.

Members are invited to place advertisements on the website for racehorses they wish to sell and, when the advertisements attract interest from prospective buyers, they are introduced to the seller by way of an automated email.

Race Horse Trader has a search engine that allows buyers to identify their specific requirements and sellers are able to update their advertisements on-line and use their own pictures and videos.

“There are two key markets for Race Horse Trader,” says Michael Harris, the Chairman of Race Horse Trader Ltd. “The obvious one is to provide a market place that gives owners the opportunity to offer their horses for sale online; the other is to provide additional promotion for horses entered at the sales.

“Race Horse Trader may attract most interest from those selling horses in training but it also provides vendors of horses of all ages, who return unsold from public auction, with a second chance of selling.”

After the initial six-month free period, ROA members can place an advertisement for the discounted price of £99 and there is no commission to pay in the event of it producing a sale.
