Racehorse Owners Association Council Election 2011

This year’s ROA Council Election will see 16 candidates standing for a place on the ROA Council. They are chasing seven available places and include three existing members of Council.

ROA members should by now have received a brochure giving details of all the candidates with their manifestos, together with their ballot paper. All members are urged to register their votes on the ballot paper and return it in the envelope provided. Please ring (020 7152 0200) or email the ROA (info@roa.co.uk) if you have not yet received your ballot paper or you have mislaid it.

Join us in the ROA facility at Royal Ascot

With Royal Ascot commencing next week, don’t miss out on your chance to purchase heavily discounted tickets for the exclusive ROA Royal Ascot chalet.

The facility is situated in the Grandstand admission enclosure on the curve of the track after the winning post, with a head on view of the course.

Annual General Meeting (AGM) and members' lunch

Members are invited to attend the ROA’s AGM from 10am on the 23rd June 2011 at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel, Knightsbridge, London. The morning events include:

  • A speech from the ROA President
  • An address by the Chief Executive of The Jockey Club, Simon Bazalgette
  • The chance for members to put their questions to the ROA Council.
  • The results of the ROA Council Election will also be announced.

Tickets are available for the following Champagne Reception and Lunch, after which guests will be entertained by guest speaker Jilly Cooper OBE (pictured).
