BHA backtrack over laying to lose
The BHA has concluded that a proposed rule to prevent owners from placing lay bets on horses in the same yard in which they have a horse in training is unnecessary, and the rule will therefore not be implemented.
ROA Chief Executive Richard Wayman said: “We are pleased that the BHA has listened to the many concerns raised by the ROA. Quite simply, the proposed rule was too blunt and would have subjected a significant number of owners to the possibility of being excluded from ownership having made entirely innocent lay bets.”
