This is the world's premier international jockeys' tournament, taking place at Ascot on Saturday 6th August, will feature four teams of three riders representing Great Britain, Ireland, Europe, and the Rest of the World. Rides are allocated by means of a special draw.

The strongest ever Rest of the World team in 2011 is made up of the 11 times Hong Kong champion, Doug Whyte (winner of 2 Shergar Cup races); 18 times Japan champion, Yukata Take (winner of 3 Shergar Cup races); and leading Australian jockey, currently based in the UK, Hugh Bowman (top jockey at the 2007 Shergar Cup).

Highlights:

• £180,000 in prize money spread equally across six £30,000 handicaps in each of which you will face a maximum of 9 opponents
• No owners’ stake money to be paid for any of the races
• Prize-money guaranteed for every runner
• Reserves who do not run will receive £500 in travel expenses
• Free hospitality for every owner (4 places; 6 for partnerships) and trainer in the Ascot Pavillion
• £5,000 in awards for stable staff involved in the day

Horse Racing Abroad is offering ROA members the chance to win a day-trip package to the Qatar Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp on Sunday 2 October.
