Horse Racing Abroad is providing ROA members with the chance to win a day-trip package  to attend one of the highlights of the international racing calendar, Qatar Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp on October 2 2011, which boasts a stellar card including seven Group 1 races.

The day trip includes return travel on Eurostar, coach transfers to and from the course, and access to the facilities in the private Horse Racing Abroad Pavilion Grandstand, with a reserved seat to view the racing action.

We are offering three sets of two places this month, with further to follow on a monthly basis until September.

Hamilton Park is offering a purse of £40,000 for this prestigious Listed race on 14th July 2011.

The significant investment in prize-money is made by the racecourse executive to recognise that prize-money should be reflective of the high-quality of horse targeted for a Listed race of this calibre.

The race conditions have been altered this year to allow fillies to enter as well as colts and geldings. It has been moved from its usual May slot to mid-July on BHA advice to fill a gap in opportunities for staying races of this class restricted to 3 year olds.

With fresh ground for the meeting, and prize to the winner of £23,680, Hamilton Park hopes to attract a strong entry, and we encourage owners with suitable horses to support this race.
