SALISBURY IS OFF THE GOLD STANDARD
SALISBURY Racecourse's ROA Gold Standard award has not been renewed for the next 12 months.
The Gold Standard committee and ROA Council took the decision in light of the lack of a free food element, which is one of the requirements for award holders.
While Salisbury adheres to the other aspects of the criteria, including a good prize-money performance, the renewal could not be granted without all of the provisos being met.
The award is currently held by 14 racecourses and recognises excellence in the raceday experience for owners, their horses and stable staff.
