ON Sunday 12 September, the ROA-registered horse putting up the best time performance in one of the seven races at Goodwood, according to the Racing Post standard time criteria, will receive a £10,000 bonus. This could increase, depending upon the number of registrations.
The guaranteed bonus will be split: 80% owner; 10% trainer; 5% jockey; and 5% yard.
There will also be a separate £5,000 bonus paid by Goodwood for the fastest winning horse on the day, open to all runners.
The seven races are all class 4 handicaps - and each is 66-85 rated for 3-year-olds and upwards, with the exception of the 4.55pm race which is 0-85 for 2-year-olds. Minimum prize-money in each is £6,000.
