Racing Post Yearling BonusRACING POST YEARLING BONUS SCHEME

Download the application form and terms and conditions

In order to maintain eligibility for the Racing Post Yearling Bonus Scheme all Owners’ payments must be made by December 15th 2009.

Why you should maintain eligibility:

Due to the massive support of vendors over 4,100 yearlings were initially made eligible for the scheme. With the funds expected, eligible yearlings can look forward to a quarter of two year old maidens of 2010 carrying a £10k bonus to the winner. The ‘bonus maidens’ will be split proportionately over all distance categories and classes with 10% of the initial UK/Ire allocation will be attached to three year old maidens in 2011 to give every horse a chance. This will amount to at least 150 maiden races in the UK and 50 in Ireland giving you, the Owner, a chance to recoup around 50% of the annual cost of having your two year old in training with one win.

As any trainer will tell you, ‘you have to be in it to win it’ so please don’t miss out and keep your purchased yearling eligible.

To maintain eligibility:

It is very easy to keep your yearling eligible; simply complete the Owner Form below and instruct Weatherbys UK to deduct £250/E285 per yearling from your Weatherbys account (or complete the electronic transfer of funds/send a cheque). Enquiries can be made to kerry.murphy01@btinternet.com.

To check for eligibility

Over 95% of yearlings purchased at a sale since 1 August 2009 in GB or Ireland were initially made eligible for the Bonus Scheme. If their catalogue page is showing the Racing Post Yearling Bonus Scheme Logo they are eligible, unless announced otherwise at the time of the sale. In addition, some late registrations were made subsequent to catalogues going to print so if you want to check whether your yearling is eligible for the Scheme contact kerry.muphy01@btinternet.com or call Weatherbys Racing Division 01933 440077.
