Tour of the Tracks

Following in the footsteps of racing writers Alan Lee and David Ashforth, ROA member Michael Broke is touring Britain's racecourses.

Between 'Easter Saturday' and the autumn, Michael is visiting all of the Flat racecourses and writing about his findings.

Adding flavour to the tour, he is travelling to almost every racecourse by public transport - mostly by rail and bus and only one by air.

Michael has owned all or part of more than 20 racehorses over the last 20 years. He is pictured at Brighton Racecourse with Piquante, owned by a Highclere syndicate of which he is a member, trained by Michael Bell and ridden by Hayley Turner.

He is a frequent racegoer, not only in Britain, but also in North America, Australia, France and the Caribbean.
